This is absolutely adorable.
Ryan,
Scale of one to ten, how is today going? You are such a champ. We’re all very proud of you.
Love,
Katie
Ryan,
Ugh, I can be awfully dumb and insensitive. I’m sorry, wasn’t my intention to upset you, if I did.
Maybe I should take a break from this tumblr stuff.
Love,
Katie
Ryan,
Hey, you got it on your own. :) (That’s a smiley face on the internet.)
Please, please do this. Would it be too audacious of me to request a Mariah cover?
Love,
Katie
Ryan,
Maybe you shoulda married that girl.
I know this is the last thing you wanna deal with now, so just keep it in mind for when you get better:
That wasn’t so hard, was it? I guess this quitting business is really doing a number on you. I’ve been a smoker for a few years now and you’re providing pretty good motivation for me to quit altogether right now while it’ll still be relatively easy.
Also — I don’t know how you feel about chocolate, but next time your drag your sorry ass to the store, pick up some of these babies:

They always make me feel better, no matter how deathly ill I may be. Think there might be narcotics in there. Plus they have hilarious ~inspirational~ sayings inside the wrappers.
Pictures I stole from the internet:

Good advice.
Love,
Katie
P.S. Tea tree oil is magic.
P.P.S. What kind of mic do you use to record this stuff?
Ryan,
I thought you might like that video. I’m glad I could help you stumble across it. I don’t know much about Mandy, but I can see exactly why you feel the way you do about her. Can you believe she was only 16 there?
So happy to hear you’re doing everything you can to stay healthy. Maybe it sounds dumb and/or selfish, but I’m kind of counting on you being able to do what you do for many, many more years. (And I know I ain’t the only one.)
Love,
Katie
P.S. Did you ever get the old iMovie working? If you’re still having trouble, I might be able to give you a few more tips. Sort of a nerd.
P.P.S. Coolest Xmas present I got this year:
Ryan,
While you’re doing some New Year’s self-improvement…
I know you have hearing problems, and I’m wondering if you’re doing anything to slow down the damage to your ears. You need those things. Are you taking care of ‘em?
Personally, I’d rather die of lung cancer at age 70 than lose my hearing in my 30s when I’ve dedicated my life to making songs.
Just worried about you.
